California CCW Training

This is the initial course required to apply for your CCW permit. This course covers firearms safety and you are eligible to receive a DOJ Firearms Safety Certificate at the completion of the course if needed upon completion.  The course covers legal and moral aspects of carrying a firearm, and gives you the tools to become proficient and confident in your ability to carry a firearm. Part-1 of the course is available in an on-line format. Part-1 of this course includes a self-paced online course and is $150 due initially and you receive immediate access to training and materials.

Part-2 of this course is in person and there are several options for part-2:

• One-on-one personal training which includes force options simulator training, skills and drills, and live-fire training- $200 due upon completion of live training.
• You may split one-on-one training with one other person and split the cost- $100 each due upon completion of live training.
• You may attend a group class to complete Part-2, for $125 (6-10 students) due at in-person registration.
• If you want to add Force Options Simulator training , skills and drills in a group class it is an additional $50 and may be scheduled on an alternate day from the live fire training as Force Options is taught at the Peacekeeper Specialized Training Institute away from the range.

This course meets the requirements of CPC 26165 in order to renew a California CCW permit.  The course is for CCW holders who have attended an approved 16-hour course and possess a current and valid CCW permit which is about to expire.  This course is a streamlined version of the 16-hour course and  includes both classroom and live-fire range training.  Students who pass the course receive a certificate of completion so they can renew their CCW permits. 

This course is also in a two-part format.  Part-1 also includes the online self-paced component, covering required state training such as appropriate use of force, self-defense laws, and mental health training.  We also review these topics in person as well in Part-2 and you must pass a written test.  Part-2 includes the live-fire training and again, we offer options for students.

      Part-1 which includes some self-paced online training is $100.00

           Part-2 is in person and includes live-fire training and qualification. Options are as follows:

• Limited training on new skills and live-fire training/qualification- $50 due in person upon qualifying.

• Skills and drills, Force Options Simulator and live-fire qualification- $100 due in person upon qualifying.

• Group training rates  are  available for renewal  by prior arrangement and a minimum number of students.  Contact us with any questions.
